Dr. Navab-Daneshmand is an Assistant Professor of Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering and Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University. Dr. Navab-Daneshmand’s research interests include fate and transmission pathways of pathogenic and antibiotic-resistant bacteria from wastewater systems to environmental reservoirs, and design of engineered systems to reduce and combat contaminants of emerging concern. Applications in water, sanitation, and hygiene sector on development and implementation of interventions to reduce the associated human health risks.
Dr. Navab-Daneshmand was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Eawag, Dübendorf, Switzerland, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at École de Technologie Supérieure, Montréal, Canada. She received her PhD in Environmental Engineering from McGill University, Montréal, MSc in Environmental Engineering, Tehran University, Tehran, Iran, and BSc in Civil Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran.
