Dr. Sybil Derrible is an associate professor of civil and materials engineering in the University of Illinois Chicago College of Engineering and a research associate professor at the Institute for Environmental Science and Policy at UIC. His research focuses on the design of smart, sustainable and resilient urban infrastructure including transportation, water, sewer, electricity, gas and solid waste management.
Dr. Derrible received his M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, D.E.S.O. in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Centrale of Lyon, and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.
