Richard L. Corsi is the Dean of Portland State University’s Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science. Over 25 years prior to his current position he was a Professor, Department Chair, and Endowed Chair in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Corsi is past Director of an NSF IGERT program entitled Indoor Environmental Science & Engineering – A New Frontier, and current President of the Academy of Fellows of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate. His research on indoor air quality spans studies of liquid-air mass transfer processes, interaction of pollutants and materials, building decontamination chemistry, and novel strategies for reducing the exposure of building occupants to indoor pollutants.

Dr. Corsi is a Distinguished Alumnus of Humboldt State University (2006) and of the College of Engineering at UC Davis (2016). In 2015 Dr. Corsi was inducted into the prestigious University of Texas Academy of Distinguished Teachers, and in 2016 he received a Regents Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Texas System.
